On the road!!

After much anticipation, and being asked every day in July if "today is when we are going to Colorado" , we finally hit the road and were on our way! You may think we are nuts for deciding to take a 19 hour road trip with 5 kids, but I have to say, it actually went pretty smoothly!
The drive TO Durango was a little slower than coming home! Day 1: We went to Allen and spent the night at Dallas' house. Day 2: 30 minutes down the road, Tucker had chewed all of his bubble gum and eaten all of his candy in his "travel bag", Mallie needed to go potty, and the girls were asking if we were in Colorado yet!! Fortunately, they calmed down and, other than the 9 potty stops before we got to Albuquerque, it was a pretty easy drive! Fortunately that was as far as we'd planned to go, we were there before dark and all got a good night's sleep before the last leg of the trip!!
The drive home was not as slow...We decided to leave Durango at 9:00 pm after a day of 4-wheeling and playing in the sun! Great for the kids...hard on the parents! We drove straight through and got home at 3:00 the next afternoon! We were EXHAUSTED!!
